Description
Peaceful and serene like a cool misty morning, the 2023 Serenity Syrah is smooth and satisfying. The grapes were hand harvested in the early morning of October 5th from the Cortese Vineyard in a cool climate area of the Coombsville AVA. This vintage offers a bold yet elegant expression of the regions cooler climate and volcanic soils. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and ripe plum accented by cracked black pepper, violets and a touch of smoked meat. On the palate the wine is dense and full bodied yet finely balanced with dark fruit at the core with savory notes of olive, cocoa and a whisper of sweet tobacco. Firm polished tannins carry through the mid palate and lead to a long powerful finish.
